My husband and I purchased the 24 hour pass that allows you to eat at any Total Rewads property buffet within that 24 hour period. We went to the Spice Market buffet for breakfast and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for dinner. The other Mlife property we dined at was the Flamingo buffet for lunch. It was such a disgusting experience that I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. For a more detailed review of the Flamingo buffet, click here.
At breakfast time, there was no crowd and no wait to get in. We were incredibly impressed with the vast selection of breakfast foods. There were several types of eggs, fruit, donuts and pastries, yogurt with a variety of toppings, smoothies, different kinds of meats, pancakes, waffles, hashed browns, potato chunks, oatmeal, cream of wheat, and so much more. It really was an amazing variety and mostly everything tasted good. We left with full and satisfied tummies.
When we arrived for dinner at 8:30pm, the line was so long that it stretched past the escalators. They were about to start turning people away because they were close to capacity. We discovered that if you paid an extra $20 per person, you could jump ahead of the entire line and use the VIP entrance. Since we had a show to catch after dinner and didn’t have time to waste, we paid the extra amount to cut in line. It was interesting watching everyone in the long line give us nasty looks as we passed them. They certainly could have paid more as well if it meant that much to them. We saved ourselves at least 40 minutes of waiting in line.
In terms of food variety, we were just as impressed with dinner as we were with breakfast. Seafood was plentiful but there was an overwhelming fishy stench in that immediate area and I felt bad for anyone sitting there. The carving station had turkey and ham, both of which were succulent. There were mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, a salad bar, Latin, Italian, and Mediterranean food, sushi, and so much more. The food presentation at the dessert bar was gorgeous and they even had cotton candy. The creme brulee was excellent.
The Spice Market didn’t have the best food we’ve ever eaten but it certainly was tasty and above average for buffet fare. This is definitely one of the better buffets on the strip and we look forward to returning.
