We stayed here for the Easter holiday to see the Phillies play. The location is excellent if you are going to PNC Park because you simply exit the hotel, walk straight down the sidewalk 2 blocks and then cross the bridge. The doors to the stadium are right after the bridge on the left. There’s no need to worry about safety because before and after a game, police close the bridge to all traffic and people can walk freely in the street.
The Fairmont Pittsburgh is the definition of luxury in every way. From the building design to the guest rooms and customer service, everything about staying at this hotel is perfection. If you are lucky, you might see and meet Edie who is their Canine Ambassador. My husband and I love dogs more than anything and visiting a hotel that shares that sentiment is not only rare but is also so heartwarming. Pets are very much welcome on the property.
We were given an upgraded room on the top floor that had a phenomenal view of PNC Park. I highly recommend this room. The views are excellent and when using the provided binoculars, you can actually see batting practice clearly!
Our room was very clean and did not show any signs of wear and tear. There wasn’t a microwave or fridge for personal use but the fridge was stocked with expensive beverages and snacks. A candy bar was $6. There was plenty of closet space with shelving and a safe. We were very pleased with the large flat screen TV that had lots of channels. The bed was very comfortable and the room was incredibly quiet. We never heard anything from the hallways, other rooms, or even from the elevator which was adjacent to our room.
