We have stayed at other hotels in Orlando during our yearly visit to the parks, but I think the Drury Inn is such an amazing value that it doesn’t make sense to stay anywhere else.
The hotel is right off the highway which is great but also makes exiting the hotel difficult because of all the traffic. There are several fast food restaurants nearby and a Whole Foods across the street. Universal is just down the street.
The hotel is brand new and as you might expect, everything appears fresh and new. Check in was so quick and our room on the fifth floor was clean and spacious. We loved the floor to ceiling window that looked out onto the highway in front of the hotel. Our room was very quiet. We never heard anything from the highway or from other rooms.

The bed was very comfortable and there was a little fridge and microwave in the room which came in handy.

Besides staying in a new and affordable hotel, another advantage the Drury has are the free perks. First of all, internet access is free and works very well. Secondly, free popcorn and soft drinks are available all day long. Thirdly, between 5:30pm-7pm there is an evening kickback that provides you with a couple of alcoholic drinks and access to a mini buffet. I expected the buffet to have less than appealing options but was truly surprised at the variety and quality of the food.
One night there were hot dogs, mac n cheese, baked potatoes, chips, nachos, a salad bar, a variety of vegetables and dip, and Tyson chicken strips. The second night was just as nice but instead of the chicken tenders they had meatballs and pasta. We ate here for dinner each night of our stay and were very pleased.

We were also impressed with the large (free) breakfast buffet which included muffins, bagels, cereal, fresh waffles, fruit, bacon, sausage, and so much more. It saved us money not having to buy breakfast and dinner at the parks every day.
The Drury Inn is such a fantastic deal that I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Orlando. We will definitely be back.
