Citizens Bank Park

Apr 11

My husband and I always purchase Diamond Club tickets at every baseball game we go to. These are the seats that are right behind home plate and usually they include entry to a very nice, private lounge area with a buffet, a bar, nice bathrooms, and easy access to the Diamond Club seats. During the game, servers bring you anything you want to eat and drink, free of charge. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and so many other baseball stadiums know how to treat their big spenders, so I was rather surprised that Citizens Bank Park does none of this.

Citizens Bank Park

Citizens Bank Park has a private lounge/restaurant area for Diamond Club ticket holders, but no pre-game complimentary buffet. You have to pay for everything that is in the lounge which is also the case for everything you order at your seat. All of this is only complimentary to those seated in the first three rows. Rows 5-9 only receive a $30 credit for food and drinks, and rows 10-19 get nothing.

For future games at Citizens Bank Park, I doubt we’ll spend a lot of money again for Diamond Club seats that don’t come with the perks that most other stadiums offer.

For Phillies fans there are a lot of added bonuses like statues of some of their greatest players and an exhibit full of memorabilia from their history and of course, you’re treated to shows by the best mascot in baseball- the Phillie Phanatic!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium which is the closest hotel to the stadium. It’s only a 5 minute walk to and from the stadium and we felt completely safe since there were a lot of fans walking as well. It is overpriced, but you are paying for convenience. You can read a review about it here.
